Description: This vintage real photo postcard features Zina Brozzia (1876-1958), an attractive and popular French operatic soprano. She trained under Romanian soprano Elena Theodorini. She made her Paris debut, performing in Verdi's La Traviata at the Opera Comique in 1905. She also performed in Belgium, Italy, and the United States. In the United States she appeared at the Boston Opera in various roles. By 1914, she had returned to Paris. Among her roles during her career were appearances in "Madame Butterfly", "Rigoletto", "Hamlet", and "Faust". This portrait postcard was published by SIP as part of a series (no.1429). Brozzia's photograph was taken by famed celebrity photographer Leopold Reutlinger. The postcard is of French origin and is in very good condition (see scans)
