Description: Zenith 6S254 Repro Black Dial Gasket 8-1/2 inch This "Buy-it-Now" sale is for one new reproduction mounting gasket for Zenith radios model 6S254 round convex glass with nominal diameter 8-1/2 inch. The 4 slots in the gasket are spaced to mate with the 4 metal tabs on the dial that position the dial scale and the glass. Also fits 6S152, 6S249, 6S256, 8S154, 8S159 The gasket is CNC machined from black paper/foam/paper composite poster board and is about 1/8 inch thick. It matches the 4 mounting tabs on the front of the radio dial and allows the glass to sit on a resilient surface and raises the glass to reduce the probability of interference with the tuning dial pointer. The gasket is placed on the dial, then the glass, then the two fastening clips are attached with machine screws to secure the glass. Glass and clips not included.
