YAMAHA ASD0544 Maple Custom Absolute Snare Drum 14"x4" Made in Japan RARE

Description: PLEASE READ COMPLETELY BEFORE BUYING!!! Up for sale is a used Yamaha Maple Custome Absolute Snare Drum, Made in Japan. It is now in Very Good overall condition since I refinished and reconditioned it. Please know that not all the parts are original. I bought this drum used on Ebay and I don't know it's history (how many previous owners, when it was manufactured, its previous use, etc.) but I do know that it was somewhat beat up when I got it and missing some original parts.The shell was originally orange and had quite a few scratches on it. I decided to refinish it myself (one of my many hobbies). I stripped the original finish and color, then dyed it black using a semi-transparent water-based wood dye. I then finished it with a hand-rubbed polyurethane - about 10 coats.Since I stripped the original finish, I couldn't save or reuse the port hole grommet and metallic ring around it which says "Handcrafted in Japan," so I replaced it with an aftermarket screw on grommet.It did not come with a throw, strainer and hoops (basically, I bought just the shell and the lugs/hooks) so I had to replace those with compatible aftermarket hardware.The hoops are Yamaha hoops but are steel and not diecast.The throw and strainer are Gibraltar.The heads on the drum now are Remo Ambassador and was only used a few times, so they are in like new condition.The snare wires is PureSound.I really did a great job at reconditioning this snare drum, if I do say so myself. It looks and sounds really good now! That's really all I can think of saying about this piece, but I would be happy to answer any questions you may have that I may have missed in my description.
