It turns on and records. Only issue is (and I was not able to figure out why) it would stop recording video after recording 22+ videos, even though it shows it’s recording it’s not. Could be the memory card being corrupted. If you can get it to work pass 22+ videos or if you don’t mind buying microsd cards than you got yourself a really good dash cam!
