Description: WWII SAFE CONDUCT PASS from Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Force, to German Soldiers wishing to give themselves up during World War II The Safe Conduct leaflet is printed in English and German (see pictures). The Safe Conduct Pass reads (the English section): The German soldier who carries this safe conduct is using it as a sign of his genuine wish to give himself up. He is to be disarmed, to be well looked after, to receive food and medical attention as required, and to be removed from the danger zone as soon as possible. {facsimile signature} Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Force The top of the flip side of the Pass reads (from German to English [using an internet translation website]): Basic principles of prisoner of war law (According to the Hague Convention 1907, Geneva Convention 1929)... The Pass measures about 4-13/16" x 8". You can see some slight discoloration of the Pass in the pictures above. When I purchased the Pass, it did not come framed just matted (see picture). The Pass is not taped inside the mat (the mat measures about 7-1/2" x 10"). Any questions, please contact me.
