Description: WWII Lundy Aeromotors Cowl Flap Drive Controller One nice core Lundy Aeromotors marked cowl flap drive controller with is essentially a motor and dual drive gearbox assembly. Data plate reads:LUNDRYAEROMOTORSTYPE EIYBF MODEL 1016-263CYCLES D.C.RPM 10,0000SERIAL 131924 VOLTS10 AMP 1 MIN - 1/8 H.P.DEPDENDABLE POWER Assumed to be a nice core. Un-tested by us, but there's extreme damage to the case or the mounting tabs. Looks like some minor damage to the phenolic plastic brush guard spring housing ends - one appears to have been nicked and end cap map be missing and both are contained with a piece of masking tape to the housing. Multiple part numbers and AN stamps on the housing. Looks like brass safety wiring. Appears to have been powered by a 3 pin Cannon connector. No clue as to what this unit was used for, but it's clearly a cowl flap motor. Gearbox ends were cable driven and cables would have screwed on the end output shafts. Heavy motor. The aluminum covering over the gearbox controller has some minor dents (as does the data plate from rough handling) but it's still safety wired together. I do not see any modifications or missing pieces. Note the grease fitting as set in the transmission box. If memory serves this was part of Kingman inventory of parts removed from aircraft scrapping post-war that we acquired in the 1980s. We've had it for several years and it's been hangar stored. Again, no visible drop damage or apparent issues beyond the obvious bumps to the brush caps - but un-tested and sold as a core. Ships cheapest via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping NO MORE THAN $14.95 - if eBay tries to bugger your behind on shipping, WAIT FOR INVOICE. Questions? Don't sit there in the chair - ask 'em and we'll respond. And thanks for looking!
