Description: This German Whistle is a nice original item from the second World War. The whistle itself is carved from bone (?), and is the typical military pattern that could have been issued or purchased. It is complete, and shows normal slight wear from handling and use. One small chipped piece on the bottom. It is still extremely loud, as one might expect for something intended to be heard over the din of battle. The whistle is complete with an original leather lanyard. This German Whistle is a sound example of a scarce item, perhaps once used to direct soldiers on a battlefield.
