Description: SUMMARY: A Vintage Steel WW2 J W Benson London Wrist Watch made in ca. 1945The watch fully serviced, overhauled and guaranteed and comes with a two year guarantee. THE DIAL: 90% mint, the satin silver dial with black Arabic numerals and signed by J W Benson of London, with patination as shown. Dial with gold spade hands. Diameter is 21 x15 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition. THE MOVEMENT: 95% mint, with silver plates and finely gilded balance cock. A ruby endstone setting to balance cock and blue steel screws. A cut bimetallic balance and hairspring and jewelled through the train with 15 jewels, signed J W Benson and number 156,799 and Swiss made. The watch is in very good working order for its age. THE CASE: 90% mint, the steel case measures 20 mm outside diameter and 36 mm to ends of the lugs. The front cover and rear cover both closing tightly to the case. The case stamped for Cyma, stainless steel back a dn number 18379, xxx. The watch with a new leather and canvas wrist watch band.
