Description: ~ Circa 1940 Japanese Navy Genuine Look Out Binoculars On Original Yoke ~ A beautiful pair of genuine Japanese big eye lookout binoculars still on their original yoke. These would have been deck mounted on a destroyer, they rotate 360 degrees so that there will be no surprise attacks. The angled oculars provide a comfortable view, so that the observer may keep watch for extended periods of time. These binoculars have been polished and serviced and look great and the optics are superb. The tripod is modern. ~ Condition ~ These binoculars have been highly polished and the optics serviced, they work exactly as they should, they are over 80 years old so there are some natural blemishes, but these are minor and add to the natural patina. The tripod is a WW2 German Flak binocular tripod and as such has minor blemishes in keeping with its age. Please see the pictures as these form part of our condition report.
