Description: Windsor AM Radio Serviced Vintage 1970s VTG Works Good! VTG Here we have an AM radio that has no brand name on it. I think it could have been branded “Windsor”, “K-Mart”, or some other generic brand name. It has the look of the transistor radio of the 70s. No IC. ABS plastic. It looks like mid-1970s to me. It’s clean. Not beat up. No chips. No Cracks. No Scratches. It looks like no one ever used it… because… It came to me not tuning any stations. Someone took a screwdriver to it and turned all the little adjustment screws inside… I found out why. The radio had a broken tuning capacitor. I replaced it with a used control. While I had it apart, I replaced its capacitors. Next I realigned the radio without issue. Service = I clean its volume control; check its alignment and current draw. Works as well any simple AM radio I’ve ever encountered. It’s loud. Volume control goes smoothly from totally silent to blazing overload loud. It produces a crisp, clear, clean sound. It’s a simple radio, so tuning strong stations is super easy. It will tune weak stations, but this is a single I.F. stage radio which isn’t as sensitive as the more common dual stage. I ship USPS Flat Rate. A tracking number will be provided the following business day after purchase. I will combine shipping when applicable, so please see my other cool old radios for sale. -karl : )_
