Share the magic! ****** Typical Ian Adair creation -- very simple, but very visual and deceptive. Magi shows a heavy paper 3-part folder with a window cut-out on one side. In the window, there is nothing. A facedown card is taken out of a shuffled deck, and slid (still facedown) into the folder -- the back of the card never leaves view, as it is seen through the window as it goes into the folder. The magi continues to push the card out the other side of the folder, and as it passes the window space, exposing the folder paper behind the window again, now the name of a card is written there -- visible through the window, where moments ago, there was nothing. It says (for example) "Six of Clubs". The card is turned up and it is the Six of Clubs. Another presentation is to not have a prediction appear. Instead, a card is chosen and placed in the folder, and the folder is then opened to show a prediction, and the chosen card matches. I personally use this for an Open prediction routine. I show the prediction of a card name written in the folder. Then the spectator deals cards faceup until she finally decides to deal a single card facedown. It is slid into the folder for "safe keeping", and she deals the rest of the cards faceup. She never finds the card matching the prediction. Why? It is the one in the folder of course! The final card that is shown cannot be examined, but the heat is on the folder (which CAN be examined). Also note: the card is the same each time. If you want to have a different card as the prediction for a repeat show, you need two of these.
