The tube is made of Steel.Fits Winchester model 255 and 275 in 22 Magnum Overall length with follower is 20 & 3/4 inches. The Steel tube only is 18 & 1/4 inches. This inner magazine tube is drop in ready and made in the USA. Works for 22 Magnum cartridges ONLY. WARNING: Occasionally there is an issue with cartridges getting stuck in the inner tube. This issue is encountered due to 2 reasons. First Winchester made a poor design decision, instead of using the larger inside diameter tubing as they did on all earlier models in the Magnum caliber, they elected to use the standard 22 tubing which has a smaller inside diameter. Secondly, there is known inconsistency with the case head among cartridge manufacturers. Attached in the pics is more information on this issue.You will encounter this issue with any model 255/275 inner tube when cartridges with oversized case heads are used. Will not work on the Standard 22 Short, Long & Long Rifle models.
