Once the logs are set on the burner, the flames shoot up through the logs and glow from below, adding to the illusion of a real wood fire. A ventless log set is an excellent choice to add supplemental heat to your living room with approximately 99% efficiency. Perhaps best of all, the Whiskey River Log Set requires a minimum firebox depth of only 12", regardless of the log set size you choose. The White Mountain Hearth Vent Free Burners are approved for use in any certified vent-free firebox or existing fireplace with the damper closed. Whiskey River logs are 18" (includes 5 logs). Burner is Liquid Propane and come in sizes to match each log set size. Each burner includes an Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) to quickly shut off the gas if the room oxygen levels drop to unsafe levels. The vent-free contour burner available for Whiskey River includes three valve options.VFDM - Manual (No Remote Available) - operates manually with off/pilot/3 position heat setting knob; Cannot be used with wall thermostats or remotes The Manual (VFDM) model can also be used in a Vented Applications without heat. When installed for vented use, it can only be used as decorative appliance and cannot be used with a thermostat. The fireplace damper must be blocked partially open (damper clamp included) and cannot be operated with a thermostat.
