Author Biography Jesus Christ has been Petras best friend since 28 Feb 1973, one week before her seventh birthday. His visitation rescued her from the depths of darkness and fear that come with abuse, secrecy and isolation. "I can honestly say, without Him, I would not be here today." The grace and mercy of God extended unconditional love to her, and a deep friendship based on trust and honesty. It changed everything, even when circumstances didnt change. It was the end to isolation, deliverance from fear, the beginning of hope, and a peace that has carried her through the most challenging things in life. After that first visit, all she wanted was more. She would ask her mother every time they passed a church, if they could go inside to hear the bells ring; in truth, she wanted to see if Jesus was there. Sometimes He was, and sometimes He wasnt. She loved to go to bed at night, because He would often visit her in her dreams. As a young adult, Petra worked for several years as a shepherdess in the Borders of Scotland.
