Description: SASS EMPORIA are delighted to offer this petite powder-blue glazed small ceramic pitcher vase produced by Ruscha Keramik of West Germany. Ruscha was established in 1905 by Rudolf Schardt and grew to become one of the leading art ceramic production houses of the twentieth century where they were instrumental in the development of modern lava glazes but were also at the forefront of contemporary form design. Most notably are designs such as the iconic 313, 333 and 304 all designed by freelance designer Kurt Tschorner who collaborated with Ruscha from 1954 onwards. Ruscha maintained a legacy of producing some of their most popular forms over the span of decades as each design continued to resonate with consumers through the release of new decors. This example, the 304 is evidence of this. Designed by Tschorner and released in the 1960's, it continued to be manufactured by Ruscha up until the 1980's. Decorated in an alluring matte cyan-blue lava glaze that features subtle pits revealing its light cinnamon coloured base glaze. The 304 may be small but is a perfect collectors item as a decorative shelf sitter for those wishing to display the multitude of different decors that were made available in this stylish little form!FORM: 304HEIGHT: 11.50cmDIAMETER: 9.50cmWEIGHT: 235 gramsCONDITION: We carefully select all our items for sale and place a high priority in offering items that are without damage, flaws or imperfections.
