Description: The West African States - Senegal 5,000 Francs Banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of the Western African States in 2023 for Senegal. It has a color combination of green, blue, yellow, brown, and orange. Its overse features a sawfish figure, an aerial view of irrigated rice fields, and banana trees. The reverse depicts two Buffon’s Kob antelopes, one is kneeling and the other one is a standing in a savanna. It also shows the penal code. The note contains an 8-mm wide windowed holographic stripe with a sawfish, BCEAO, and and 5000. It also has a 1-mm wide solid security thread with printed UMOA 5000 and a watermark that reveals a sawfish and an electrotype 5000. It is printed by Francois-Charles Oberthur Fiduciaire and is 141 x 74 mm in size. It bear the signatures of Jean Claude Brou and Saniyaya and has the denomination as its registration device. The banknote is in uncirculated condition.
