All the books have aged pages as is typical of Donohue books. Vol 1 contains Tales of a Traveller, Abbotsford, Newstead Abbey, Bracebridge Hall, and Wolfert’s Roost. Spine slightly faded with wear to top and bottom of spine. Taped front hinge and staring rear hinge. Vol 2 contains Life and Voyages of Columbus and Tour of the Prairies. Previous owners stamp on front paste down and fly leaf. Vol 3 contains Tales of the Alhambra, conquest of Granada, Conquest of Spain, and Spanish Voyages of Discovery. Faded spine and taped front hinge with rear hinge starting. Vol 4 contains Astoria, Salmagundi, and Captain Bonneville. A very clean and sound copy with an ink signature on the front paste down. Vol 5 contains The Sketch Book, Knickerbocker’s History of New York, Crayon’s Paper. Decorative tooled boards with rubbing to spine edges and some pulling to the spine top.
