Description: Some art cognescenti walked in to our house and uttered, Rothko! when they saw the rug (which I actually purchased to frame or shadow-box). I told them, 'Even better yet, it's Warhol does Rothko!' This is one of the rarest designs in the Warhol rug lineup. It is only 3 ft tall, so you can use it as a point of interest on the floor, or complete what I'd planned to do, frame it and hang it. At 36" it has impact there. Warhol's works 'after' another great artist are some of my favorites in his repertoire. I purchased two from a Warhol collector (to hang), so you could actually place one on each side of a hearth or door or ... whatever. Great Rothko colors. (One is in this auction.
