He was the son of Polish parents, who were on their way to the United States, but chose to settle down in Denmark. He was trained as a classical violinist, inter alia, Ebba Nissen and Erling Bloch and in 1944 he made his debut in the Brahms Violin Concerto. But already since the age of 15, he had played the violin in public and had exposures in the National Scala and Lorry. Through 12 years he draw in Zigeunerhallen where he really got his popular breakthrough. For some time he was with Børge Rosenbaum (Victor Borge) on a large comic musical number, which they toured in Denmark and in Norway and Sweden. He was a soloist at Radio Symphony Orchestra Thursday concerts and premiered Bela Bartok solo sonata for violin in Scandinavia. In the 1950s he was on several tours that took him to England, Norway, Sweden, France, USA and the Faeroe Islands. He recorded in the 1940s and 1950s a large number of records (78 plates) with both classical and popular works, however none of them are yet available on CD. He also released his own compositions.
