Hard to find Original Stereo First Pressing Female Pop / Country / Rockabilly Vocal Album from Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly. Produced by Ken Nelson. While this album is mostly Country, there are several tunes that lean to Honky Tonk and Rockabilly. In the Original Cover with NO Barcode, Cutouts or promo markings and on the Rainbow Rim Capitol Labels with the Logo at the top. Includes the Original Printed Capitol Inner Sleeve. This is a Los Angeles First Pressing as indicated by the Matrix / Vinyl Runout markings which read: Matrix / Runout (Matrix A, on label): ST1-1776Matrix / Runout (Matrix B, on label): ST2-1776Matrix / Runout (Both sides Runout, Stamped): ✲Matrix / Runout (Runout, Side A, Etched): ST-1-1776-A- 5.Matrix / Runout (Runout, Side B, Etched): ST-2-1776-A- 5. CONDITION The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some slight shelf wear and corner softening / wear. Super solid with no splits, writing, tears, stains, cutouts, etc. and would rate at least VG+. The Vinyl itself is in clean Glossy condition looking lightly played. If you look closely you can spot a few light scuffs and faint hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail - but still pretty close to New condition. VG+ visually but plays mostly perfectly EX to Near Mint. The labels are Near Mint. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
