The opposite fold along spine side is not flacking but is split all but completely from the rest of the jacket. Also there is an enormous two & one-half inch x one inch vaguely 'W' shaped chip at top of spine. Burgundy colored cloth with fading gold lettering & horizontal devices along spine. Front board has blind stamped colophon centered within top third of panel. Dust stained burgundy tinted textblock top edge. Deckled fore-edge with darkening. Considerable penciled side notes, marginal markings & underlining scattered through much of the text.
