Description: The gravy boat is quite old; dates to the 1800s. The boat is in good condition. It has a faint stain circle in the interior wall. A flea bite is in the center exposing the underlying pottery layer. The other side has a flaw in the pottery directly behind the flea bite on other side. I think flea bite could be involved with the exterior flaw spot; see pics. There is a small flea bite on exterior handle, left side. The piece has exterior scratches on the bulbous areas. Theres a white patch on side near top, see pics; not a chip. A flaw like line at the footed part looks like a crack but not. A pottery flaw; made that way. The boat will have flaws, lumps, pinholes; mainly made that way. The bottom has a flaw line on ridge. Theres a blue stamp; Fairy Villas, something China. W, Adams and Sons, England. The logo is bloody and blue and underside is shiny and dull in spots; not sure why. Measures 5.5" X 7" X 4.5". 5" X 3" opening.
