Description: Before reading this listing, I urge you to check out my unmatched Seller Feedback and find out why YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.The Short of It1971 Juan Estruch Yellow Label Classical guitar in perfect playing order with original Spanish hardshell case. The best of everything--old enough to have acquired a full, vintage sound but only light signs of wear. In perfect playing order; nothing to compromise structural integrity, sound, playability or potential longevity. And now price dropped to way below any other example of this model anywhere.Cedar top; very handsome Indian Rosewood back and sides; Ebony fretboard; Spanish Cedar neck. 650 scale; 52mm at nut; action is 3.85 on low E at 12th fret (and feels great due to light pulsation). Bone nut and saddle; all-wood binding.I've owned four of these, one signed, three not, all from the 1970s, and this one sounds as good as any: mature, elegant, with a dry clarity I associate with most Spanish guitars. (Also very string sensitive: if you want a guitar with predominant fundamentals, go with carbon; if you want to bring out its partial side, go with Augustines. I've split the difference--currently strung with new D'addarios.)A few dings and flecks of discoloration around the bridge—see photos.Original hardshell case show lots of wear but is in perfect playing order. It's a modest case but a classic of its locale and vintage. The Long of ItShortly before his death, Chet Atkins was asked what his favorite guitar was and he said it was the 1969 Juan Estruch Yellow Label he played every day. I feel that this guitar is priced exactly right and doubt you'll find a Spanish Classical built by as revered a maker as this one for anything close to this price--but still happy to consider reasonable offers. (I expect this one won't last long.)Having offered a huge range of (mostly) hard to find, upper end guitars over the last 25 years, I'm finally hanging it up--or, at the very least, taking a good long break. Between site fees, rising shipping costs and other factors which are making it next to impossible for me to keep prices down and still break even, it's just not worth the hassle. But I'm really excited about my "last wave" of offerings, some of which I had never imagined I'd sell, all of which are GREAT DEALS, and several of which are truly special instruments--such as this one.Give all my listings a good look (more are coming). All are photographed and described objectively. Read my feedback. Buy this guitar. Embrace joy.
