Description: For sale is VINTAGE MARPLES BLUE CHIP CHISELS 1" 3/4" 1/2" 1/4" The chisels have bevelled edged blades that are in good condition. The blade have various minor scrapes, scuffs and could use a honing. The blades are made from high quality steel that will take an edge and keep it. There are no owners marks, no etchings, no cracks no bends etc. The blades are marked "Made in Sheffield, England". Sheffield steel is the bestand it was once the world center for steel making. The handles are in excellent condition with no cracks, no breaks. They do have various scuffs, crapes etc. All in all a rather nice example of the classic vintage Marples chisel. These are kind with the metal tang that goes all the way through and forms the cap of the chisel. Somewhat unusually, the chisels come with all of the original blade guards that are marked "Marples, England". Please examine the pictures carefully to fully appreciate the item on offer. They can tell you much more than any verbal description.
