Description: VTG U. S. Marine Corps Service Plaque Wood Aviation wall display personalized My late father was a Vietnam-era Marine Corps aviator. He flew F-4s in Vietnam and left the service as a Major in 1967. I do not know when he had this plaque made. It looks like it could be laser-engraved, but there was so much fine hand crafted material around during his time in the service that I am not sure. Plaque is 11 inches in dameter x .25 inches thick. Around the center is engraved:"United States Marine CorpsAviation" Above the eagle is:"Semper Fidelis" Under the EGA is my Dad's name and dates of service:"Major J.M. Stofer 1955-1967" There is not currently a hanger on it, but if you would like to wall display it, it is very lightweight and many different sorts of hangers would suit it. There is a bit of lift to the center ring at the left side, which could be cured with a drop of glue if it bothers you. It is not in danger of falling off. I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
