Red tin with an embossed lid featuring a family of pilgrims looking at a fruit cake that the lady is holding. Tin is trimmed with grapes, cherries, oranges, pineapples and apples. Age estimates from the 1950s. A nice older adverising piece!! I believe Chicago went to the 5-digit zip code in 1961, which dates this tin before then. Also USPO changed from Illionois from ILL. to IL.in Oct. of 1963. thus I believe this lid is in the 50's No dents, no scratches, no rust, glossy and vibrant paint. Embossed cover and embossed type on bottom of ti #2 Lid: Vintage Collin Street Bakery of Corsicana, TX Deluxe Fruit Cake Tin lid with Gourmet Society Award inside lid. Tin is red and round shaped and measures 7.5 inches in diameter and is 2.75 inches deep. Tin bottom fits both lids. The bottom is from Collin Street bakery in Corsicana and goes with the Collin Street bakery Deluxe Fruit Cake lid. I always just used the Pilgrim lid for decoration for Thanksgiving and could not find the bottom but this one fits fine.
