Description: VTG Mother of Pearl Cluster Pendant Sterling Silver Navajo Native American 1970s This is a charming cluster pendant featuring 9 beautiful luminescent mother of pearl (gold lip) shell cabochons. They are all set in serrated bezels and placed on a slightly domed sterling silver base. The central stone is surrounded by twisted silver wire. The pendant is approximately 1" in diameter, and is about 3/16" deep. The opening on the bale is about 3/16". The central mother of pearl stone is 1/4" by 3/8". It weighs 9.0 g. The artist hand-scripted her name, "Gladys Smith" (a Navajo silversmith active in the 1970s) and "Indian Hand Made". You don't see this type of hallmarking very often.
