If it’s never been used there may be other signs of wear from storage. Jewelry expect discoloration, missing stones, repairs.Clothing/ bedding/towels are washed by me, unless they are new old stock that are in unused condition. Linens/ clothing that are in original packaging may have discoloration. There may also be what I call estate sale stuffy smells, many homes have not been lived for a long period of time and get a bit of a stuffy smell to them( basically from being left alone ) I do not purchase items that have mold, or mildew on them or smells of them either.
