Description: Founded in 1979 when Gail Pittman left full-time teaching to stay at home with her children, Pittman has turned her kitchen table studio into a major ceramics brand, without losing sight of the simple, folkloric themes, graceful, balanced compositions and lovely color sense that define her work. This 9" bowl features the dramatic, ruffled form that has become a Pittman signature . It displays a lyrical, toile-like design done in shades and tones of green, with fresh, contemporary abstractions in the sky. Serving-size bowl is in EUC with no apparent chips, cracks, fading, staining or repairs. There is a faint allover crazing under the shiny gloss that I suspect was intentional, as it is consistent, adds to the antique look and occurs across this line of pottery. Crazing is shown at 5x magnification in photos. Elegant, artisanal bowl is signed and dated on the back. Unique piece ships USPS Ground Advantage from Los Angeles.
