Description: For sale is a pristine black advertising ashtray from the late 1950s. Plastic ashtray has the feel and clunk sound of Bakelite and is fairly heavy and very rigid. Ashtray measures just under 7” in diameter and has rest detects for six cigarettes. It is virtually free of blemishes and has a shiny black finish with blue printing across the top. Made by the Vernon Co. of Newton, Iowa. It bears s catalog number of 2V-472 for reference. Printing and graphics look good as new and item is clean, looking as though it was never used. It appears to be Bakelite but hasn’t been tested for authenticity. Material is quite rigid and does not bend. Winner to pay calculated SandH to anywhere in the USA only.
