Description: This is a black and white print of an architectural engraving commissioned in 1813 by Sulpiz Boisseree, a German art collector and historian, of the Cologne Cathedral (Dom = Kirche zu Koln). Made by Georg Moller, it shows the Cathedral interior view to the west. The print was purchased after a visit to the Cathedral while stationed in the area in the late 1970’s. Printed on off white matte art paper, it measures 22 ¾” W and 33 ½” H overall. An information brochure is included, written entirely in German and containing color highlights. The print was never framed, but rolled and stored carefully in a non-smoking home. Please note that weights are not included. It is in excellent vintage condition. A great piece for an enthusiast of European history and the story that goes along with the building of the Cologne Cathedral. Shipping is only available in the U.S.
