Description: This heavy West African sculpture is a beautiful and unique piece of art. hand-carved from native wood (African Mangoy - after much research and an identification appraisal) dense and extremely durable. This beauty stands at 18x10 inches and weighs 11.13 lbs. The mask is a representation of African culture and craftsmanship, with intricate details, probably designed for tourism. The wood’s overall condition is strong and sturdy. There is, however, a slight chip to one of the cheeks (blends very well), and a small crack along one of the leg stands. The crack does not adversely affect the strength of the wood and the chip can easily be repaired or left to age as is.
