Vtg. 1947 St. Gregory Hymnal & Catholic Choir Book Melody Edition (bin111)

Description: Good Day! Up for sale today we have a pretty nice, old copy of The St. Gregory Hymnal and Catholic Choir Book - Melody Edition. This is from 1947. It was compiled and edited by Nicola A. Montani, and it was published by the St. Gregory Guild, Inc. This appears to be a revised edition of a 1920 original. This hymnal contains songs in both English and Latin. Please view photos, as I did try to photograph the information pages so you can see things like dates, editors, publishers, contents, etc. The book is in fairly decent shape for an old, used item. This one is a little beaten up at the coves, which includes dings, scuffs, scrapes, and discoloration. This one was a church library item at some point in its life, and it does have a binding sticker/tape remnant on and around the spine area. Inside the book, the pages are tanned. There are some small spots. There is a library card and card holder on the inside front cover page, and there is at least one stamp - on the top page edges. This one does have a light bit of pencil and red colored pencil marking inside. It think I only noticed it on a few songs - I'd guess maybe 2-6 songs. I don't believe I noticed any rips, tears, large stains, etc. It is possible that there may be a very small rip or a very small bit of additional marking, small spots, a couple little creases or dog-ears, etc., as this is a used book, and I have 2 cartloads of books to go through, and I just can't flip over every single page, but I'm generally pretty good at spotting issues. I did not see anything of note with this book other than the issues described above. That being said, the book will have some age and use wear that is perfectly normal for being an older, used book. The spine is not as tight as it once was. It may have some smudges or a little light discoloration, etc. Just think of it as the kind of thing you'd find at a thrift store or garage sale. Someone's old, used books. Please do note that the books shown in the photos are the exact books you will receive. We do not use stock photos. This book came from a large library of religious/religious studies book owned by, I believe, a pastor or reverend.
