Description: Three 50 Sen (Yen) Banknotes issued in Japan. Two (featuring Mt. Fuji on Obverse) were printed in 1938. The third (featuring Seido Otorii at Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo) was printed 1942-1944. The 1938 Banknotes "Fuji Sakura" were demonitized 8/31/48. They measure 104 x 64mm. The early 40's Banknote "Showa" measures 105 x 65mm, and was demonitized on the same date. All three carry the Red Seal of the Finance Minister on lower left of Obverse.
