Vintage Wiss KS chrome & yellow green paint steel kitchen utility scissors USA

Description: Offered is a less common, interesting, and even striking, pair of vintage Wiss 8" yellow-green painted handle steel kitchen, floral, or utility scissors, with grip serrations or teeth on one blade. This scissor design, also used by other manufacturers at the time, represented a kind of multi-tool, including an opener or crusher in the handle design (but no screwdriver on this model pair). So what you have here is kitchen utility and versatility in one durable tool. In fact, this scissors is attractive for what it is NOT--NOT a counter-cluttering device, NOT plastic or aluminum, NOT broken at the tip, NOT rusted, NOT engraved or personalized, NOT loose and wobbly. Scissors are only marked "Wiss" and "K.S. U.S.A." This is an older pair, and has been used by many hands. Note that the photos do show some loss to the green paint on the handles, yet still good chrome on the inside and outside of the blades. There is one very small etch into the chrome on the pivot screw and next to that screw on the side marked K.S. Please note that these are NOT dressmaker pinking shears, but do have small teeth along one blade edge for grip. Thus, these scissors cut stiff paper and paperboard (see photos), succulent flower & herb stems, and other semi-rigid materials well when used by a right handed person; they do NOT cut cloth or fabric. And as vintage scissors, they are offered here "as-is" in any case.
