Description: This vintage Hoosier canister jar in Vaseline glass is a stunning addition to your kitchen decor! Character abounds in this piece. The ribbed canister is square in shape, and the green glass alone sets it apart. To really wow, set it near a blacklight and watch it glow! The original would have had a "cookies" label across the front, but that has long since disappeared. The glass itself is in excellent condition--no chips, scratches, dings, etc. The metal lid has definitely seen better days and is showing it's age. It has some dents and tweaks, but still retains it's green paint color except around the ribbed edge. That said, it still screws on and off easily should you decide to use it for storage. The jar measure just under 8" in height, and is 6.5" square. The opening is around 5". The jar weighs about 3 lbs, 8 oz. I do my best to accurately describe the items I'm selling.
