Texas Instruments Home Computer TI-99/4A Model # PHC0040. Late 70s or early 80s vintage, with very good cosmetics and original box. The console itself is in good physical condition, with its original TV to unit modulator and power adapter. The box was not stored properly and is "dog eared," but the original, intact, folding clamshell-type case is included. Modulator has cable TV adapter attached. It has some cosmetic imperfections, including what appears to be some amber-colored glue on its face, and some detached velcro on its back. The unit powers on. I cannot get my TV to cooperate with the cable connector/modulators. However, I did plug it in, and saw a fuzzy welcome screen with the unit's menu and option to use BASIC. I believe the unit works, at least through the welcome screen and basic command prompts. But I can't guarantee that it is fully functional due to my AV issues and lack of cartridges to test. So this is an untested,"as is," parts/repair, and no returns sale. I acquired this vintage computer from my neighbor's estate about eight years ago. It was kept in a box, but she did smoke. I smell some moderate tobacco-style smell from the unit. It can probably be blown out with some canned air. That fact is reflected in the units' price.
