Description: Here's a lovely vintage Syracuse China fruit, sauce, dessert bowl made in New York in 1972. The small round ceramic bowl has the recurring abstract floral pattern in pink on the white interior, a scalloped thick rim and a glossy finish. I've been unable to identify the pattern name. It measures 4 5/8 inches in diameter, 1.75 inches in height and weighs 6 ounces. It's the perfect size for serving berries and other small fruit, as well as sauces. The heavy restaurant ware is a solid workhorse able to handle heavy use. Condition is surprisingly excellent with no chips, cracks, crazing, or utensil marks. The backstamp in green reads "Syracuse China, 101-E, USA". The date code places its production in May of 1972. Thanks for looking.
