Vintage Sterling Silver Oval Blue Tourmaline Design Fashion Ring Size 8

Description: Selling a Sterling Silver Oval Blue Tourmaline or Topaz Design Fashion Ring Size 8.0. Ring was cleaned and inspected. Normal very minor scuffing from wearing. It weighs 8 grams. We have had this ring in storage with other jewelry for over 25 years so it is old. It is marked 925. I have researched on the internet to determine the type of stone on the ring. It could be a blue tourmaline or topaz. If it is a tourmaline, it was probably made in Brazil and I may have bought it when I worked in Brazil in the late 1980s. You can also get the blue topaz in Brazil so it may be a topaz stone. The stone has many facets cut on it and I don't believe it would be just a piece of blue glass cut with the labor of making the many facet cuts. The stone is about 11 x 14 mm. Since I cannot say for sure what the stone is I am putting it on an auction.
