Description: Vintage Steiff "Hexie" Dachshund 11" body length, 18" nose to tip of tail"Hexie" a Steiff favorite has had many variations. I believe this is the largest size and it is pretty much the same size as a real miniature dachshund. He has big goggle eyes and a swivel head. The tags, button, and original red leather color are missing although he is wearing a red nylon collar. He's had some playtime but he still stands nicely and his tail can be convinced to stand fairly straight out. (I think he wagged it during play so it is not perfect.) His mohair is in good condition with a bit of wear around his middle and at the base of his tail likely from his time as a playtoy.
