By the way, did you know…?ZigZag Attachments have a Floating Foot attached to the forked foot of the attachment. It allows the zigzag attachment to “float” over thick and thin fabrics, seams, edges and other raised areas more easily while your sewing machine is stitching.And it REALLY is not meant to be removed! Sometimes the teeny tiny spring clamps which hold the floating foot are bent upwards or broken (red arrows).If the spring clamps are not sitting snugly against the nubs in the fork holding the floating foot securely, there is a lot of wobble in the floating foot. The attachment can crab-stitch off to the side or stitch in circles no matter how hard you try to guide the fabric. For the zigzag attachment to operate correctly, the spring clamps need to be intact on each side and sit close to secure the floating foot to the nubs in the fork of the attachment foot (green arrows).
