Description: Dinah Cook Furniture Company was a trademark used by the Western Chair Co. of Chicago, which manufactured solid wood furniture from 1897 to 1939. The brand was used to appeal to African American customers during the Great migration of African Americans from the South to northern cities. This solid birch sample would have been used by a salesman to assist buyers in making their choice of wood for the furniture they were buying.This vintage salesman sample from Dinah Cook Furniture is a unique addition to any collector's merchandise or Black American memorabilia display. Very Good Condition. Minor wear consistent with age. Light soiling, scratches and old age toning. Approximately 6" x 4".
