Description: When I found this long formal ivory item, I thought it was a long maxi half slip. When I got it home, I realized that it had two hip pockets, a center back zipper and wide hook and eye closure. Hmmmmm, is it a formal skirt or a formal slip? Either way, it's by Saks Fifth Avenue. There are no size or fabric content labels. It has two layers, and I'm pretty sure the inner layer is nylon. The outer layer makes that rustling noise that silk taffeta makes, but it may be acetate. The waist is 27.5", and the length is 43", so if you're long and lean and looking for a slip/skirt for a formal occasion, I've got you covered. She was pretty dirty, but she's been hand washed. I was shocked that all of the spots came out. The hem was particularly dirty, and it's clean as a whistle now. Overall, vintage 1960's or 70's or 80's Saks Fifth Avenue mystery slip skirt is in very good vintage shape. PS: The pictures were taken before I washed her, so if you see any spots, they're gone now.
