Vintage Riddell Kra-Lite TK2 Football Helmet 1973 Miami Dolphins Jim Kiick Rare

Description: For your consideration is this very rare Miami Dolphins Riddell Kra-Lite TK2 helmet from 1973 as shown by the ring date stamp inside the helmet. This was a Riddell lamp as described below, so everything on the helmet is authentic and original, and helmet includes authentic original vintage team issued striping, and decals, as well as one of the most widely used Facemasks of the era, the Schutt style OPO, just as worn by All-Time Dolphins great and fan favorite, Jim Kiick. We have customized this amazing specimen by adding appropriate Cole, size and font #21 on the rear stripes as Kiick would have had on his helmet. RIDDell made these helmet lamps using authentic Kra-Lite helmets for three years and used several versions of the Dolphins decals. This beauty is manufactured with the rare version, the “Dolphin in hoop”. Many AFL/AFC teams were the most scarcely made lamps, and therefore are very rare. Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field! We offer many helmets manufactured by Riddell which were destined to be actual game used NFL helmets but before they could be shipped out to the teams, these helmets were used to make very collectible lamps for retail sale. These helmets had the suspension removed and were then attached to a wooden base with additional lamp parts attached. We have removed these helmets from the lamp and installed a new suspension and padding into them and the result is a stunning and amazing vintage helmet for with vintage authentic team decals and Riddell 2-bar BD-9 facemasks.
