Vintage RBI Chromaharp Autoharp w/ Case and Accessories /Rare/12 Chord

Description: 1980 RBI Chromaharp Autoharp, made in Japan. These are fantastic autoharps, RBI being one of the leaders in manufacturing of harps all through the 60's, 70's, and continue to this day. Has 36 strings...and a 12 chord setup...which is hard to find..in great shape, these days. Great craftsmanship, quality, durability, and reputation. This one in excellent condition, has of course some finish wear, a couple of small nicks, but looks lovely. There is a small hiccup on the string cover in the left corner..but almost un-noticeable, and has no effect on the sound, or playability. The tone and sound are strong and bright, with great resonance. All original parts. The Tobaccoburst finish is beautiful, and has a gloss finish. It has had a full pro setup, cleaning, polishing, everything adjusted and conditioned, the felts and springs are fully functioning as they should, the strings have been conditioned and replaced where needed. It has been tuned, but always recommend getting a digital tuner. Not only to keep them properly tuned, but shipping, and environment change affect string tension..and will likely need a little adjustment. Once it arrives..it takes a couple of days to settle and adjust..room temp/ and the moisture level. Comes with the case, also vintage, roadworn..but funtions well, all hardware entact and working properly. Also comes with the tuning wrench, a new felt pick, and some vintage info. Makes a great, full package. While here, it got lot's of attention, and constant playing and adjusting to get it into shape, and making sure it carries on for another, at least...50 years. Though Oscar Schmidts are great, I am a Chromaharp guy, I find them to hold up stronger with age, especially the felts and springs, and I love the strong, bold tones they produce.
