Description: This vintage doll cradle is a beautiful piece crafted from maple wood in the 1950s. I believe the manufacturer to be Whitney. It had what was left of a very faint decal that came off when it was cleaned. The cradle features colorful swivels and is in great condition for its age. It measures 24.75 inches in length, 15 inches in width, and 17 inches in height, it is the perfect size for an 18-inch doll. The cradle has only been cleaned and treated with wood conditioner since it was so dry. It is a rare find for doll collectors and I have not found another exactly like it. ***Note- the cradle is attached to the base by two stiff wires at each end. The cradle rocks by moving back and forth until it stops. It does not sit exactly straight when it stops and I have corrected the issue somewhat but I am afraid to mess with it anymore. I thought there might be parts missing but cannot find evidence of that. I bet few of this style survived being played with for very long. It would make a lovely addition to any doll collection or a charming display piece in a vintage-inspired home. Sorry for high shipping costs but this bed cannot be disassembled.
