Description: Vintage/Antique RARE 1920s BUCILLA Dressing Sacque and Boudoir Cap from Pkg. No. 5067 Made In The USA Three items included in this listing are: The Dressing Sacque, The Boudoir Cap and the Original Label Insert for the Kit. BUCILLA EMBROIDERY PACKAGE No. 5067 The original lawn fabric was embroidered according to the pre-stamped pieces included in the set. The overall condition is very nice vintage. The only wear I can see is on the top of the cap where there is a small separation of the lawn fabric weave and a Small amount of sticky residue on the inside of the cap. There are two age related separation holes on the top of each sleeve, where the embroidery has been worked and pulled on the delicate fabric. Should be able to be fixed if desired, especially as the embroidery could be added to to cover any repair to the100 year old fabric. No Size Given. This set was hand sewn by my mother in Law, who displayed the completed work. Never worn. Zoom the picture of the label to see what was included in the original kit. The Lace, and additional creative embellishments were left to the purchaser. An Interesting history of BUCILLA can be found at plaidonline.com. According to this website, BUCILLA was founded by Bernhard Ulmann in 1867 in New York, where he "originally sold napkins, doilies, and handkerchiefs printed with silk-screened embroidery designs from a pushcart on the streets of New York." "In 1870, he opened his first and only retail store." Hello Bidders and Buyers: Please email any questions before purchasing.
