Description: Beautiful small vintage print of a portion of the painting, “Madonna and Child with the Young St. John the Baptist,” by Italian Renaissance artist Sandro Botticelli (1445–1510). The original painting was created c. 1468 and is in the Louvre Museum in Paris. The gold painted wood frame measures approximately 6 3/8" x 8 1/8” and the frame opening is approximately 5 1/4" x 7”. The print is on textured paper. The age of the print is unknown, but it appears to be vintage. There is a sticker on the paper backing indicating the print may have been professionally framed or sold by Decorators Den in Fort Scott, KS. There is a metal picture hanger on the back of the frame. A beautiful reproduction of part of a well-known Renaissance masterpiece. Estate sale find. The print appears to be in good to very good used condition with signs of wear and age, such as possible fading, scratches, scrapes, abrasions, and a small puncture in the Blessed Virgin Mary’s halo. The frame appears to be in very good used condition with signs of wear and age, such as scratches, scrapes, abrasions, nicks, indentations, perhaps some discoloration, and slight wear on the edges and corners. The paper backing appears to be in poor used condition with signs of wear and age, such as significant tears, scratches, scrapes, abrasions, indentations, wrinkles, creases, folds, and some discoloration and/or stains on the tape.
