Description: Vintage Buddy Lee Doll / 1940's / Original Sanforized Blue In original condition, this Buddy Lee Doll is a great example of an early Lee Jeans & Workwear advertising. Buddy Lee was an advertising mascot for H.D. Lee, and the dolls were used a promotional items for the company from 1920 to 1962. Buddy Lee came in various outfits including Engineers, Cowboys, Service Station Attendants, as well as many others. This particular doll is made from hand painted composition, was made in the 1940's, and features the Sanforized Blue Lee Herringbone Denim Playsuit. He is all original, complete, and his clothing is in great condition. Overall a great example of early workwear & clothing advertising. Guaranteed authentic & original as has been in my family. This was given to my mother and has been stored for its entire life. Some of the composition is cracked as shown in the pictures.
