Description: Beautiful framed, matted, signed and textured Bahia Salvador Brazil Acrylic Impasto painting on board by Brazilian artist Anderson. It depicts a funeral procession with women carrying containers of flowers and laying/scatering some along the path of the mourners/attendees and/or in the area of the casket. Vibrant colors, acrylic painting in the Impasto style - the paint is laid on thickly in some areas. Painting knife strokesor heavy brush strokes are visible providing texture and depth to the images. The painting is in very good vintage condition. The frame shows definite signs of wear and there are some minimal smudges on the mat: both consistent with age and use. The painting was purchased on site in Salvador, Brazil in 2003 and framed upon returning to the United States. Frame is 19.5 x 23.5, painting is 11 x 15"
